You could substitute the bacon with cooked ham, if you prefer, adjusting the calories accordingly.
Make sure to grate the cheese finely as this helps it to go a long way.
We find it's best to use the pastry straight from the fridge, depending on the brand you use. Some brands can be stickier than others and may become difficult to work with if they become warm, so we recommend using it chilled.
