This is our version of a recipe that's popular in South Africa and has a mild, slightly sweet curry flavour. The curried beef is topped with a thin egg custard layer, which sounds unusual but really works. This hearty, comforting dish would be ideal for a family meal.

Tasty 😋 piece of South Africa
Added a small amount of reduced fat grated cheese to the topping . Needed longer than stated for topping to set in oven around 35 minutes. Very tasty with a nice bite from the curry powder & spices .
Added a sprinkling of ground nutmeg to the ‘custard’ for colour 😋
