Cheesy and creamy gammon – what's not to like?! We've used gammon steaks here, which are readily available, and if you're looking for new ways to serve them, look no further. The leeks, mushrooms and peas, combined with the gammon, make a delicious meal. There's no cream in sight though; we've used reduced-fat cream cheese to add the creaminess and help keep the calories down.

We recommend using a reduced-fat cream cheese rather than a fat-free one in this dish. It will be a little richer and will stand up to reheating better, if you plan to batch-cook this recipe.
