Slow cooked in a Southern American-style sauce, this beef brisket joint is beautifully tender. The ingredient list might look a little bit long, but it’s well worth it because the finished dish is absolutely delicious. If you have the time, we recommend preparing the brisket the day before and leaving it in the fridge overnight to really boost the flavour!

When substituting regular white sugar for sweetener, make sure you use a granulated sweetener with the same sweetness and weight as sugar (see page 9).

Fantastic Southern American style dish!
I used the slow cooker method but added 100ml of water and a beef stock cube as it went too dry. Used diced beef instead of brisket. Also added a bit of extra sweetener and some peppers.

‘This was so easy to do in the slow cooker, froze it into portions and took this out to do a mid week fakeaway.’
