Half Syn Mini Beef and Horseradish Yorkshire Puds | Slimming World

I love Yorkshire Puddings. They are the BEST thing to go with a Sunday roast, and even on a buffet! We used to make these when we had the restaurant, they were a buffet favourite, so we thought let’s make a Slimming World version of them. Half Syn Mini Beef and Horseradish Yorkshire Puds!

The concept of these is pretty simple. Beef & Horseradish cream, stuffed inside a Yorkshire pudding.

If you’re not keen on horseradish, you can replace it with mustard, or even some red onion marmalade. You could even stuff them with a different meat… Pork would work well, as would turkey and cranberry sauce. The possibilities are pretty endless.

How Many Syns Are In These Half Syn Mini Beef and Horseradish Yorkshire Puds?

Syn values of these Half Syn Mini Beef and Horseradish Yorkshire Puds are pretty easy to work out! For all 16 Yorkshire Puddings it comes to a total of  6.5 Syns, which is 0.4 Syns each. But we always round up so it’s half a Syn each.

  • 30g of Plain flour – 4.5 Syns (Remember to check the syn value of the flour you use as they vary!)
  • 75ml of Skimmed Milk – 1.5 Syns
  • 1/2 tbsp Colemans Horseradish Sauce – 1/2 a Syn (1 syn per tbsp so just half a syn for this)

To make the cups you need one of these Mini Muffin Trays from Amazon. They are essential for making these Half Syn Mini Beef and Horseradish Yorkshire Puds, and we’ve used it for a lot of our other canapés too.

1 Syn Mince Pies | Slimming World

The second essential ingredient is Frylight! This is the magic that makes the Yorkshire Puddings rise. Spray the tray, put it in the oven and get it nice and hot. Then pour your batter in, pop them back in the oven and et voila. It’s also stops them from sticking, there’s nothing worse than things sticking to oven trays!

If you don’t have a piping bag, you could spoon in the Horseradish cream. We pipe it because it takes seconds to pipe rather than mess around with spoons. You can use some disposable piping bags and a small star nozzle. Which are available from Amazon

  1. These Yorkshire puddings make delicious profiteroles – I mixed up Quark, vanilla essence and sweetener. Put a teaspoon full into each pudding then drizzle with choc shot. .. could also add some dissolved Coffe granules to the quark… berries.. etc…
