What do I need to make this Syn Free Crustless Quiche Lorraine?

This Syn Free Crustless Quiche Lorraine is really easy to make with a few kitchen basics.

Firstly, you’ll need a Pyrex flan dish like this one from Amazon.

You can use whichever size dish you like, depending on how thick or thin you like your quiche – you’ll just need to adjust the cooking times if using a dish with a smaller diameter as it will take longer for the egg to cook through but will give a deeper finish to the quiche.

We also like to use one of these Deiss graters for grating cheese – it turns a small amount of cheese into a huge pile and makes a little go much further!

Just watch your fingers as it is VERY sharp!!

Why not use your dish to make one of our other quiches?

Whenever we need to replace oil in cooking we use Frylight. Perfect for everyday frying and cooking, it delivers exactly one calorie per spray, which makes it Syn free! We used the Avocado one for this Syn Free Crustless Quiche Lorraine recipe, and it was fab!

How many Syns are in this Syn Free Crustless Quiche Lorraine?

This Syn Free Crustless Quiche Lorraine is, as the name suggests, Syn Free if you using half of your Healthy Extra A.

If not using your Healthy Extra A, it works out at just over 3 Syns per slice – that’s a huge Syn saving on a shop bought version – and it’s full of cheese, bacon and onion!

    1. That’s right, Annette! The full recipe uses 4 HEA servings of cheese, so a 1/4 of the quiche would be 1 HEA. 🙂

  1. Wow this was just as amazing as the first time I made it. So tasty even my husband wants to take some on our Picnic tomorrow ,( if there is any left) , so easy and quick to do..

  2. Just made this with my daughter…actually think it may have been the best quiche I have EVER eaten ,,,added a little Schwartz all season spicy chillies & onion – it is sooooo gorgeous – thank you for such a fab recipe … I love using quark and didn’t have any cottage cheese which my usual recipe uses. Definitely need to include this in a recipe book if you do one 🙂

    1. Hi Anna
You can’t taste the quark, but if you really don’t want to use it, you could try some fat free fromage frais, or blitz some cottage cheese. Hope that helps. 🙂
