This delicious, creamy pork dish is so easy to make that it’s sure to become a family favourite! Lean, succulent pork tenderloin, pan-fried with button mushrooms and simmered in a creamy, mustard sauce – it doesn’t get much better than that! The creamy sauce is made using reduced-fat cream cheese to keep the calories low without compromising on flavour.

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

How to Batch

Cool within 2 hours of cooking, without the parsley garnish, then divide the cooked recipe into individual servings and freeze immediately.

Needed to use some pork loin steaks and decided on this even though it should be a pork tenderloin. Cut the steaks into 4 pieces and followed the recipe.
Added an extra teaspoon of Dijon because we love it!
I used shallots instead of an onion as they are slightly sweeter and are the perfect size with pork loin fillet.
What I love about Pinch of Nom recipes is that the are versatile. I used diced pork instead of tenderloin as it’s a cheaper cut and leeks instead of onions as they needed to be used up. Slow cooked it till tender and saved a few pennies.
Very tasty.
I chose to seal and colour the pork in a hot pan before frying the onions etc. and used some wholegrain Mustard instead of just Dijon.
Amazing Dish
I used pork chops rather than tenderloin and I just lowered the cooking time. Also my husband who is fussy had his with chicken and that was also lovely.
Great recipe, quick and easy but very tasty!
I used low salt stock but followed recipe exactly. Always turns out perfect!
I swapped pork for chicken. Served with lots of veg. One of my favourite recipes, very quick & easy to make. So much flavour, & very filling.

Is low fat cream cheese the same as low fat soft cheese?

Hey Scotty, we use reduced fat cream cheese in this recipe that means cream cheese like Light Philadelphia or another brand hope that helps!
